- NBASSE was formed in 1978 (as NBASE) and incorporated in 1984
- over 30 agencies province-wide offer services within this association

Our Mandate
..... to promote, through our member agencies, a diverse
range of services that support individual choices and facilitate
quality lifestyles for persons with disabilities.
Our Objectives
- to provide representation for Adult Developmental
Activities, Programs and Training (ADAPT) agencies at provincial and
national levels;
- to provide a forum for the study and exchange of ideas;
- to provide consultation for members;
- to provide services as a resource for informing the public regarding the nature and objectives of ADAPT agencies;
- to provide guidance in the development and establishment of training programs and resources to members;
- to aid in development, implementation and ongoing review of
provincial Adult Developmental Activities, Programs and Training
standards;
- to advocate on behalf of persons with disabilities;
- to develop partnerships with like-minded individuals/oraganizations.
